Wireless Networking- At its best!

One of our transportation & logistics clients approached us to let us know that they were moving offices during the last week of August of 2016.

The only issue with the new office was that it was located in a remote location not serviced by any internet service provider. The client runs applications for their business over the internet, their cloud servers all require an internet connection, and they run voice over IP telephones. Internet was needed.

eTor Networks managed to find an internet feed approximately 9.68KM away from the new office. After doing some tests, it was determined that a site-to-site wireless networkwould be the solution.

With a few buildings and trees in the way, a tower was required to clear the obstructions and get a near line of sight. A 100 meter tower was erected with a custom antenna mounted to the mast of the tower.

The client’s new office had utility poles that were 10 meters off the ground and an antenna was mounted on top of one of the poles.

The link was established! Just over 107.5MBPS and the client was fully operational by September 10, 2016.
